As a child, my love was dancing. I studied ballet, tap, and modern dance. At the age of 16 I went to dance college and also studied contemporary dance, choreography, dance notation and history of dance.
At the age of 18 I started attending aerobics classes and knew it was something I wanted to learn to teach. A few months later I was a qualified instructor and set up my own classes.
I then took a break from teaching for a few years and worked as a cabaret dancer in Tenerife for a while.
I returned to England and have been involved in the fitness industry since 1998 teaching a variety of classes including aerobics, step, conditioning, circuit training, studio cycling, children's fitness classes, mother & toddler classes, children's dance, BodyJam, Latino Aerobics, Fitness Hooping, Dance Fitness and Pilates.
I have worked in many sports & leisure centres and private health clubs. I set up ENERGISE in September 2004 to bring group fitness classes into the community and encourage more people to exercise.
